Hackathon project Build 18 2013. At CMU, we have Nerf wars in the upper floors of Wean. These 30 v 30 nerf war are rumbustious and chaotic. Many will modifies nerf guns to make them more powerful and accurate. We had a better idea... Imagine you're trapped behind enemy line, Pinned down at a corner wall, outnumbered. All is hopeless but you have a secrete weapon. A Balled nerf turret. ball roll towards the enemy, stops, opens like a lotus flower and unless onsought on anything that moves
Gravity Offload Gantry Actuation System. With team designed actuated gantry system to better test the lunar readiness of astrobotics polaris rover. Traction and mobility of moon bent rover needs to be tested in a moon like environment. Moon has 1/6 of earth gravity. System positions smart crane over rovers COG and follow the rover with i a 9 by 15 foot area. Smart lefts 5/6 of rovers weight to simulate moon gravity. System utilizes high powered servo motors on a timing belt system.
Device used to pulse bright light at every pump of fist. Utilized Eagle CAD to design PCBs. Design Built, and fabricated prototype. Programed AVR. Device utilizes Attiny85, 28 super-bright cree leds, analog 3 axises accelerometer, two buttons to change settings. Gadgety mid-term project.
Hackathon Project for CMU's Build 18. Week long. Hacked a EEG headset from MindFlux toy, used it as a sensor to read the beta and Lamda brain waves. With it we could measure the attention and relaxation levels of users mind. tranvers those signal via Xbee radio to a Nomad 200 series mobile robot. Robot had 2 degrees of freedom, turning and going straight. Proportionally mapped turn to relaxation and attention to forward movement. Story tbc... Built with Ajmal over three day period.
BNSB Belt used to help blind people navigate down a hallway without the use of their eyes.

"Big Brother is Watching" Utilized african Mask with security camera in the mouths, projecting what they see on the wall above them. My parting gift to my high school to commemorate the memories i've had there. THe mural tells a stories of the experiences at BL. Music, Choir, Football, Art, Lacross, class, Robotics, tennis, service project, and scenery i wanted my mural to be dynamic and energetic. Utilize contract color scheme and exaggerated perspective to convey motion and animated snap shot. Acrylic paint on 9 by 6 canvas. 2011
